For the past few days I've been working on getting a rough project proposal report together. It's been a struggle between trying to cover all the guidelines for this report and doing some research into other projects I have been looking at for inspiration as well as research into my idea itself (which is still pretty loosey-goosey).

Other projects that have had an impact on me are by the Urban IxD group, in particular, the
"city | data | future" exhibition. Coordination of Urban Busy Areas (CUBA) is one that I really like about optimising the use of their limited public space by using a Usage of Public Space (UPS) unit currency. There is something very near future about it and the collection and public sharing of all this data is amazing.

Future Cities by Trinity College Dublin have also inspired me to do something about Future Cities. They have done many projects including CityWatch, which isn't active right now, based around sensors, data and citizen contribution which I think is so important today in order to get people involved, active and participating to raise awareness and to have maximum contribution.

Future Cities Catapult in the UK are currently doing amazing things with Cities Unlocked, who are working together with Future Cities Catapult, Guide Dogs and Microsoft. By using technology they are helping unlock the city of London for visually impaired people.

All of the projects I've mentioned are bringing me a step closer to what it is I want to do.
