Today was a fun day filled with a lecture about designing for behaviour, workshops, quick activities as a class & as individual groups, going down to the building workshop and creating random objects, as well as lots and lots of creativity.

To get our creativity flowing and to get into the "designing for behaviour" thinking we went down to the workshop where we got scraps of material like wood and blue foam and began to make different objects. Myself, Louise and Billy (the group that I'm working with for the next 2 and a half weeks) decided to go with different emotions. I picked anger/ annoyance/ irritation because I thought it would be a fun emotion to design for. These are the objects that came out of it...

The object on the left was the first iteration but it kind of turned out to be more comforting to hold than anywhere near anger or irritation.. And so the object on the right is the annoying one. I also put some double sided sticky tape all over it that you can't see, so when you pick it up to hold, it's all sticky.. and annoying :)
